Is your seat leather dry or cracked?

You can hydrate and nourish it, but you can never restore it to its original condition. There are several products available for hydrating natural leather, some specifically designed for upholstery leather, which are more liquid so they penetrate quickly and you’ll see results in just a few minutes. Never apply body moisturizing creams to upholstery leather as they are thicker and will not be absorbed properly. Each product is designed for a specific function.

Be careful, synthetic leather (skay, faux leather, vegan leather, etc.) is not the same as natural leather because natural leather absorbs the product, whereas synthetic leather will never absorb it. Additionally, it will leave the upholstery sticky and stain your clothes when you sit down.

There are also leather restoration processes like liquid leather, which we do not recommend, and here’s why. For example, when you get a small dent or scratch on your car, you go to the body shop, and they use filler and repaint the part, right? But the part they paint is rigid (plastic, steel, aluminum…). The liquid leather process is exactly the same, but leather is soft, and when you sit down, it will bend, causing the “filler” to flake off, wasting your time and money.
