Is your seat leather dry or cracked?
You can moisturise and nourish it, but never restore it and leave it as good as new. There are several products to moisturise natural leather, some of them specific for natural upholstery leathers that are more liquid so they penetrate quickly and you will see the result in just a few minutes. You should never apply body moisturisers on upholstery leather as they are thicker and will not absorb properly. Each product is designed for a specific function.
Be careful that synthetic leather (skay, imitation leather, vegan leather…) is not the same as natural leather, because natural leather absorbs the product and synthetic leather will never absorb it, as well as leaving the upholstery sticky and staining you when you sit down.
There are also leather restoration processes such as liquid leather, which we do not recommend and we will tell you why. An example: when you have a small dent or scratch on your car, you go to the body shop and he puts putty on it and repaints the part, right? But the part that is being painted is rigid (plastic, steel, aluminium…) so the process for liquid leather is exactly the same but the leather is soft and as soon as you sit down you will bend it and the “putty” will flake off and you will have just wasted your time and money.
